during their migration – both in the spring and autumn.
Millions on the wing
70 million pairs of birds breed in Sweden.
In the late summer there are around 350 million birds
if you also count all the chicks.
The vast majority fly away in the winter.
50 million birds can fly southwards on a single autumn night
over southern Scandinavia.
